Beau William Sweeney's First Christmas

Beau's first Christmas 2012

And he was such a good boy!
Not to mention a TROOPER...Three whole days, not too many naps with late nights... might normally = Cranky Baby but, not our little Beau! He loved every minute of his first Christmas and I have to say we did too:) First night we had Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's...Christmas Songs played by Uncle Aaron on the piano, first one to find the Pickle ornament on the tree gets to open their gifts first, and lots of presents being passed around for good little girls and boys!
good little girls and boys

The second night of Christmas started with Christmas Eve Mass with Grandma and Grandpa then off to Uncle Bryan and Aunt Nancy's for dinner, presents and games.

On the Third day of Christmas...Santa came! our sweet baby must have been a good little boy:)

Merry Christmas Beau!
Christmas night... dinner hosted by Aunt Lanie and Uncle Joe... meeting Aunt Barbara and Uncle Jim for the first time! Cousin Cory read twas the night before Christmas "in Cincinnati" before heading home to get Beau Man to bed! It was the perfect first Christmas for our little peanut. Can't wait till next year:)

Wishing everyone many BLESSINGS this holiday season!
So happy to be home with family and friends this year after being away the past two.
It has been a while since I have posted on RMB and have decided to change it up in 2013 with a new title and whole new blog dedicated to our biggest blessing...Baby Beau Man Sweeney!
A blog about a baby? Never been done before! I know it sounds crazy...Mama and Papa are proud to say it out loud... WE ARE PARENTS! No longer Newlyweds on the path of New Beginnings and New Adventures but, New Parents on the Path of New Beginnings and New Adventures :) So if you liked our blog before you are going to LOVE it in 2013!

Bye bye Colorado...until we meet again!

No more Rockey Mountain Buckeyes :( We are now Buckeye Buckeyes once again...The move was a lot harder than I thought and more stress than I care for in one week but, it is over and new stress begins with my old friend anxiety rearing its ugly head ugh. So we will get settled find new routines and get back to the city life we were once a part of! It is going to take some getting used to...I mean we barley drove anywhere while living in Breck!
We are sooo going to miss this view it was our view for two years! What we are going to miss the most is this view and not driving so much...I hate driving now and its even worse with a three month old! Getting back into the city living will be a lot easier for me but, poor hubby it is going to take him a little longer.  What we are not going to miss is the price tag on this view!

Two weeks we have been back now and we are trying real hard to get Sweet Beau on a schedule and it is proving to be the hardest part of relocating aside from finding a place that will rent to a family with 2 dogs and a cat! He is all out of sorts and I blame the being in a car seat for two days and many days after since we did some driving around :( We have been hanging around Nana and poppy's condo trying to get him back on track... fingers and paws crossed :)

Beau is now a big 9 pound boy! He just gets cuter every day:) He is smiley and talky and so stinking cute! Beau still loves bath time and now after bath he loves looking at himself in the mirror all wrapped up in his bath towel... its one of my favorite parts of the day!
We are so happy to be home:) Beau loved meeting all of his Aunts and Uncles and little cousins we are looking forward to all of the firsts back here in the nati :)

Life with a little baby buckeye

Blogging is hard with a little baby buckeye! We have been really busy non stop actually since June 30th 2012 but, its been the best kind of busy and would not change it for the world! Gotta hand it to all you Moms out there this is hard work and not for the faint of heart but, every little noise ,furrow of his cute little brow, his smile :) ,even his cry melts my heart...so in love!

Everyday is a new and exciting challenge and we wake up wondering how can it get any better and it just does! Beau is all about trying to figure out the world aka our house! He loves all of our art hanging on our walls we take an art tour at least 5 times a day and he loves it :P I hung these Tibetan prayer flags that we received as a gift above his changing table and he loves looking at them-makes for an easy change of a dirty diaper!
We wake up have a little breakfast and head down to the floor for tummy time and play! He is getting the hang of it and will be rolling over before we know it! Papa showing him how to use his first rattle!

Little Peanut is trying hard to put on the lb's! Still just breastfeeding and pumping, it is going great so we are going to stick with it and hopefully once we get down to a lower altitude this little peanut chunks up :)he is a little skinny but, I swear the boy eats a lot!!! He is 7lbs now and getting bigger everyday! Did I mention how in LOVE we are ?

You may have seen this one on facebook! It was my attempt to get one of those cute photography photos without spending the money :) well, let me tell you I now know why people do spend the money!  Five minutes and a little tinkle on our love seat and Mama was dunzo! We did decided not to do the traditional birth announcement but, something along those lines coming soon to an e-mail near you :) It all started with us trying to cut back on waste and we know if we did a b.a. it would maybe make a fridge or two? So this way you can maybe make our little elephant your screen saver on you lap top or ipad 1,2 or 3 ! Thinking about doing this for Christmas too ( Just thinking about it!) here are other shots I got in those 5 minutes!

See why it only lasted 5 min? Elephant Stampede was the last shot!

Our two year journey is quickly coming to a close and we will head back home in 3 short weeks and begin our life as a family! Trying to think if we should change the name of this Blog? Any suggestions please put them in the box :)

Mountain Baby

Our Little Baby Buckeye is officially a Mountain Baby complete with his own oxygen tank to help with his breathing while at 9600 feet! Last weeks doc. appointment left us a little disappointed but, it is all for the good of our lbb so bring on the better breathing :) He is still so cute and every day brings so much joy and blessings we are so lucky in love!

Beau is gaining weight! Such a little peanut and has quite the personality already:) He really does not care for the nose piece and can pull it right out so his little baby hands have to be covered up in mittens at all times, not good for a little guy who likes to suck fingers! Everyday is such a new adventure and learning all about him is such a beautiful journey :)

Little Baby Buckeye :)

Beau William Sweeney
JUNE 30th 1:50 am
5lbs .12oz 18 inches long

What a week it has been! He came at 37 weeks and 4 days...I may have jinxed myself ! Last Friday around 4:50 am my water broke not all the way just a little and so I woke thinking I may have slept through my 10,0000th trip to the bathroom :) Waking Scott to tell him either my water broke or you know! We woke and didn't freak like I expected and calmly gathered anything that I didn't already pack for the hospital. Not wanting to upset Zoey, Gus or Henry was part of it too :)  Called the Doc and we were on our way! Arriving around 5:30am I guess I expected it to all get going only it did not and it made for a long day of waiting to meet l.b.b.

We came in 2cm dilated and did not progress through out the day around 6 we were only 3 with little contractions so we were told we needed to get labor going and so we did -not at all in our Birth Plan but, life happens and so we did what we were told was best for our little l.b.b.  the pit was kicking up the contractions our little one was not digging it and still nothing (contractions were 2 min apart and very painful but, he was not budging (guess I made it to comfy for him in there!) So around 1:00 am we decided with help that it was time to meet our baby!  C-section (also not part of our Birth Plan!) Very scared and disappointed but, tired and ready to hold our baby. Scott was Amazing and after a long day of waiting Our Little Baby Buckeye was born and when they said the 3 words ... It's A BOY! tears just poured out of me :) It was the best surprise and everything else did not matter. His cry was Beautiful and just what I had been waiting to hear for 9 months!
We are truly blessed and beyond in LOVE! Seriously there are no words.

Our Beau (peeka-beau ) is just perfect and life has a whole new meaning :) We stayed in the hospital until Monday and then home to show this little guy what its all about :) Our other babies have not fallen in love like we have but, I think they finally know he is not going anywhere :)

Other Stuff- We do not sleep anymore, Beau sleeps a lot and cry A LOT! Scott has been amazing and is such a proud Papa! He went back to work today so Mama is on her own :( Grandma and Grandpa Cook are coming out in 2 weeks and we wish it were sooner! I can't get enough of his sweet baby smell! I miss being pregnant( who knew!) but, love having him here :) 3 months of sitting on the couch totally worth it!

We had our first doc app. on tues. Beau lost some weight and then over the past two days has been fighting me breast feeding and today another doc appt. lost some more :( So we have a lot of work cut out for us getting the bf down and putting some pounds on our little guy. Please keep us in your prayers! Stay tuned for more... Our Family Blog has gotten a whole lot Cuter!

What we did this week...

So I am kinda cheating on my bed rest just a bit when Scott is off work :) nothing major but, here is a little of what we did this week!

Our weekly coffee down by the blue river
Scott bought me a noodle so we can float!

Husbands make the best window washers!

See nothing major or wild enough to send me into labor...those might be coming next week!

36 WEEKS! Hallelujah!

We made it! almost. Well, we made it to the 36 week mark which means yes our little baby will be born in the mountains! It has been a very long journey but, thanks to all of the prayers and positive vibes we are here:) Life on bed rest in a Beautiful mountain town in the summer is very challenging but, we have managed to somehow not go totally crazy and Scott has been working so hard for our little family the man is a machine.... he brings home the bacon (veggie of course) and Fry's it up in the pan! he cleans and even does windows (so I can see the beautiful mountains while I am sitting on our couch!) So any day lbb you can come into the world and boy or girl we can't wait to meet you :)

Who knows this may be the last chalkboard tutorial!
