After the Freaking Long Winter we had one might ask why not just go Florida all the way??? It was just the thought of a Road Trip and the Chance to get to see where our Family and friends call home:) Asheville really was so COOL I wish we had just one more day there but, 5 hours we can easily do this again no problemo! So the longest part of the road trip was to Florida and the one i was worried about the most with Beau and so we were off to see Nana&Poppy Beau's main goal get to them asap!
We each took turns sitting in the back while the other one drove,this was helpful so that we could read books give little snacks and refresh milk! We borrowed a travel dvd player brought plenty of Elmo but, somehow managed to leave the cord in Asheville:( so we really had to be creative... we actually have a built in dvd system but, it requires you to be forward facing :( so Mama pulled out her compact mirror bungee to head rest with my headband and Elmo was ready to groove with us!
Thirteen hours later we arrived to Nana and Poppy's Our little Boy was so HAPPY and nothing else mattered! It was way past bedtime again but, he was such a trooper... such a good thing. Scott and I each cracked a BEER and Vacation mode was on! We had a really great long sleep and woke up ready to get our relaxation on by the pool:) First day was a little overcast but, managed to get some pool fun in with the family:)
Last time this little guy was in a pool was last Summer! He loves swimmy time:) So we made sure he got plenty of it on this trip!
Family dinner at Aurelio's Pizza omg this Pizza was AHH-MAZ-ING! Seriously very yummy and I dream about this now too:) Sunday we had a very special day planned on Nana and Poppy's friends boat we were super excited to get Beau out on the inner coastal for some fun in the Sun!

It was such a great day, after the boat ride we all got to relax a little pool side with Corona's and Snacks... Lou and Jane had the best screened in pool, turn up this Vacation Mode a little higher:)
What a perfect ending to a really Beautiful day:)
The rest of the trip was fun with a trip to the Beach, The Children's Museum, Met up with an old friend, More Aurileo's ,(yummy) Calamari Feast, More Pool fun with Maeve and Liam, Drinks( the tropical kind:) Sunset at the pier and yummy gelato after:) We had such a great visit... so glad we could make a little boy so Happy to see Nana & Poppy and feel the Sunshine finally!

Not too happy about wearing the life jacket but, got used to it after a while... this day was perfect not too hot all SUN and just really a beautiful day all together:) We had a few Dolphins swimming next to the boat which made this boat ride AWESOME! at one point there was even a Manatee sighting but, I had a sleeping baby on my lap so none for me:(
I did do the tuck and roll but, of course no more Manatee:(

This trip was great and although it had the BUMPS it was just what we needed! Scott managed to get an extra day in although that really did not feel like much at all it was nice for Beau:) Our last leg of the trip was a short stop in Gainesville Florida for a nice Dinner and overnight with Scott's Aunt Patti and Uncle Tom although short it was very nice to break up the drive and no highway hotel for us!! It was like a Fabulous stay at the Ritz but, with Family:) Beau of course made his self comfortable right away running all over their house!
So all in all was a good trip! We survived,had a BLAST and will be taking our next adventure to Michigan for a lot of fun in LELAND!
